3:24 p.m., Oct. 31, 2007--Tremaine Aldon Neverson, an American contemporary R&B singer and songwriter known by his stage name Trey Songz, will perform at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, in Thompson Hall of the Louise and David Roselle Center for Performing Arts.
Songz's debut album, Gotta Make It, was released by Atlantic Records in 2005 and the first single from the album, Just Gotta Make It, peaked at No. 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 50 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally. More recently, Songz has garnered greater notoriety and increased album sales due to his collaboration with Twista on Girl Tonite, a song from Twista's album, The Day After, which reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally. Songz's new album is entitled Trey Day.
