Newly adapted for the stage by Linus Speary, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland features the talents of PTTP alums Maggie Kettering, Ricardo Zeger, Sara Valentine and Michael Boudewyns.
“We are especially proud as UD graduates to be able to serve the state of Delaware and share theatrical productions of well-loved stories with communities throughout the state,” Valentine, First State Children's Theatre co-founder and artistic director, said. “We design our productions with the idea of being able to take them to schools, libraries and performance venues throughout the area.”
The adaptation began its run at the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington and is now on tour with performances at several area locations.
“Knowing that Lewis Carroll created Alice's Adventures in Wonderland simply for the delight and entertainment of his young audience was a great inspiration for our production,” Boudewyns, First State Children's Theatre co-founder and artistic director, said. “We are certain that our audiences of all ages will experience that same sense of delight as we bring Carroll's playful and imaginative world to life on stage.
First State Children's Theatre Company was founded in 2005 as a professional, year-round theatre to stage and tour classic plays and adaptations of classic stories for families and young audiences through the state of Delaware.
