Delaware tops Lehigh 7-0 in women’s tennis
UD senior Susan Pollack won at both first singles and first doubles in the victory at Lehigh.
8:22 a.m., March 14, 2008--The University of Delaware women's tennis team defeated host Lehigh University 7-0 on Thursday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa.

UD senior Susan Pollack got an easy win at first singles and teamed with freshman Courtney Fenimore for a victory at first doubles to lead the Fightin' Blue Hens. Pollack defeated Lehigh's Allison Schwartz 6-0, 6-4 at first singles and Fenimore defeated Julie Arthofer 6-0, 6-0 at second singles.

UD's Elena Berry defeated Ruthie Furman 6-1, 6-3 at third singles and Amanda Campbell defeated Victoria Vityuk 6-3, 6-1 at fourth singles. Alexa Dragonette defeated Stacey Reich 6-1, 6-4 at fifth singles and Ivana Petrich defeated Kiera Murasko-Blank 6-3, 6-1 at sixth singles.

Pollack and Fenimore defeated Schwartz and Furman 8-4 at first doubles, Campbell and Dragonette defeated Alexis Jacobi and Murasko-Blank 8-3 at second doubles and Berry and Petrich defeated Reich and Arthofer 8-3 at third singles.

The Blue Hens are now 3-0 to start the season. They are 18-0 in singles and 8-1 in doubles.

UD will return to action with a home match against Mount St. Mary's University on Saturday, March 15. The men's match will begin at noon and the women's match at 2 p.m.
