Elton John to perform March 10 at The Bob

2 p.m., Feb. 11, 2008--Legendary performer Elton John will perform at UD's Bob Carpenter Centet at 8 p.m., Monday, March 10, as part of his 2008 tour: Rocket Man–Number Ones.

“It is extraordinary to have the legendary Elton John, rock music's biggest solo artist, perform here at the Bob Carpenter Center in Delaware," Domenick Sicilia, director of the Bob Carpenter Center, said.

Sir Elton will be performing solo March 10, playing his greatest hits and more recent songs from his latest release, Rocket Man–Number Ones. He has sold more than 200 million records and continues to add innovative work to his personal repertoire of 29 consecutive Top 40 hits, 35 gold and 25 platinum albums.

Rocket Man–Number Ones, released last March, debuted in the top 10 and features newly compiled and digitally mastered greatest hits spanning the first three decades of the singer-songwriter's career.

Reserved seat tickets for Elton John will go on sale at noon, Friday, Feb. 15, at the Bob Carpenter Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster charge by phone at (302) 984-2000, (215) 336-200 or (856) 338-9000/302-984-2000 and online at [www.ticketmaster.com] and [www.livenation.com].

Tickets are $85, $95 and $125 each, and there is a six ticket limit per customer. The concert is sponsored by Live Nation.
