UD alum Kathryn J. Wilson accepts the Anita M. White Endowment Scholarship at Yale-New Haven Hospital from benefactor Dr. Jules White.
5:01 p.m., Dec. 10, 2007--UD alum Kathryn Wilson, HS '06, of Stratford, Conn., is the first recipient of the Anita M. White Endowment Scholarship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She received the award at the recent dietetic intern graduation, and was presented the award by Anita M. White's husband, Dr. Jules White.

"If you should turn out even a little like the beautiful person after whom this award was named, then you will make me very happy and you will surely make your parents and this faculty very proud, indeed,” White said to Wilson as he presented her with the scholarship.

Yale-New Haven Hospital established one of the first dietetic internship programs in the country in 1958, and today the program draws applicants from all over the country and abroad. The one-year internship prepares students to become registered dietitians.
