Aug. 15, 2007--Eric D. Ramos, 34, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and formerly of Carney's Point, N.J., and Newark, died May 18, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Tannersville, Pa.
Mr. Ramos earned his bachelor of mechanical engineering degree and his master of mechanical engineering degree from the University of Delaware in 1997 and 2001, respectively.
A member of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, he received the Mary and George Nowinski Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research at UD in 2001.
Born in Davao City, Philippines, Mr. Ramos was a lead commissioning and qualification engineer and had been working in the fields of biotechnologies and pharmaceutical industries. He joined Jacobs Applied Technologies in 2003. He started as validation engineer for Millennium Validations in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Frask-Ramos, and their daughter, Ellyse Hyacinth Ramos; parents, Felicisimo V. Ramos Sr. and Amelita D. Ramos; sisters, Jessica Ramos-Lozada, and Guinevere Ramos-Carandang; brother, Felicissimo Ramos Jr.; uncles, Pedro Q. Dayrit and Lamberto Q. Dayrit; and aunts, Remedios Javillo, Angelita Diaz and Lucita Dayrit.
Mass of Christian Burial was held May 26 at the Queen of the Apostles Church in Pennsville, N.J.
