Suggestions sought for student surveys

3:41 p.m., Sept. 25, 2006--Curious about some aspect of student life on campus? This week, students are invited to make suggestions for campus life survey questions and to get a free soft pretzel in return.

From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) at UD will staff a kiosk in the Trabant University Center's Food Court on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and a table in the Perkins Student Center lounge outside the bookstore on Thursday, Sept. 28, to gather suggestions for questions about “hot-button” issues involving student life on campus that will be used in a series of online student surveys.

Heather Kelly, IRP assistant director, said the department will conduct three short-10-12 question-online surveys each semester this year asking students for input on issues that arise from life on campus. The questions will range from social to personal to academic issues.

Students who make survey suggestions by completing a form IRP representatives will be handing out will get a coupon good for a free soft pretzel either in The Scrounge or the Trabant Food Court.
