Delaware football team ranked 11th in new poll

11:28 a.m., Sept. 12, 2006--The University of Delaware football team is ranked 11th in the latest Sports Network NCAA Division I-AA poll, with a 30-7 victory over West Chester University lifting the Fightin' Blue Hens four spots from last week.

The University of New Hampshire, which will visit Tubby Raymond Field at Delaware Stadium at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, in a key Atlantic 10 Conference game, is ranked No. 1 after a 34-17 victory over Northwestern University of the Big 10 Conference.

New Hampshire is followed in the top 10 by defending national champion Appalachian State, Cal Poly, Furman, Montana, Youngstown State, Illinois State, Richmond and Massachusetts, both of the Atlantic 10, and Hampton. A total of five Atlantic 10 teams are in the top 25, with James Madison at No. 15.
