Nursing fall lecture series set

3:18 p.m., Sept. 15, 2006--The University of Delaware's School of Nursing will present its fall 2006 Research Lecture Series from 2:30-3:20 p.m. one Wednesday a month in September, October and November. The lectures, free and open to the public, will be held in 112 McDowell Hall.

The series opens on Wednesday, Sept. 27, when Carlton Rodney Cooper, assistant professor of biological sciences at UD, will present “Cell Adhesion and Bone Marrow Endothelium: Potential Therapeutic Targets for Prostate Cancer Metastasis to Bone.”

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, Veronica Rempusheski, Jeanne K. Buxbaum chair of nursing science in UD's School of Nursing, will present “Becoming a Gerontologic Researcher--From Intellectual Curiosity about Elders Concern to Discovery of New Knowledge.”

The series concludes on Wednesday, Nov. 29, when David Edwards, assistant professor in UD's Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science, will present “Vascular Function in Health and Disease.”
