UD women's soccer adds assistant coach

Stephanie Miller has joined the UD women’s soccer coaching staff.

10:03 a.m., Sept. 15, 2006--Stephanie Miller, a former standout goalkeeper at Old Dominion University, has joined the University of Delaware women's soccer staff as an assistant coach, it was announced Thursday by Fightin' Blue Hens Head Coach Scott Grzenda.

Miller played at Old Dominion from 2001-04, and allowed just 1.18 goals per game her senior season. She served as an assistant coach at Old Dominion last year, working with the goalkeepers, setting up a scouting and recruiting database and coordinating team travel.

In the spring, Miller served as an assistant coach at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Va. The team finished with a 20-2-2 record and a No. 10 national ranking.

Miller earned her degree in physical education from Old Dominion in 2005, majoring in sport management with a minor in marketing. She currently resides in Elkton, Md.
