Performance artist presents gay icons Sept. 20

4:42 p.m., Sept. 14, 2006--Comedy Central's Jade Esteban Estrada, 2005 Performance Artist of the Year, will perform Icons: The Lesbian and Gay History of the World at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Mitchell Hall. Estrada's solo musical comedy will feature his impressions of gay icons such as Michelangelo, Gertrude Stein and Ellen Degeneres.

The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Latino and Latin American Heritage and UD's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Community Office.

Estrada also will perform a one-man show, Tortilla Heaven, at 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, in Mitchell Hall.
