Spanish chef to visit UD dining halls Oct. 9, 10

Chef Juame Pujol Guixe

2:40 p.m., Sept. 27, 2006--Juame Pujol Guixe, a chef from Spain, will prepare dinners in the Pencader and Russell dining halls on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9 and 10.

Guixe is coming to UD as part of ARAMARK's 12th annual International Guest Chef Exchange, a program designed to honor the company's finest chefs via a multinational culinary exchange.

As chef for the Hotel Monestir De Les Avellanes in Os De Balaguer, Spain, Guixe has competed in many culinary competitions while pursuing a degree in hotel management.

ARAMARK has chosen only 26 chefs from North America, South America, Europe and Asia to participate in the exchange this year.
Blending cultures through the culinary arts, the ARAMARK International Guest Chef program involves a two-week long exchange with chefs at other ARAMARK international customer facilities, who put daily business pressures aside and share talents, tips and tastes from across the globe.
