Student callers needed

10:26 a.m., Sept. 15, 2006--Earn $7 an hour in a relaxed environment where games are played and prizes won between conversations with alumni, parents and friends of UD by becoming a student caller for the Fund for Delaware.

Student development officers are needed to staff the call center in Rees Hall to contact alumni, parents and friends of UD.

The majority of the shifts needed to be filled are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-9 p.m. and Sundays from 1:45-5 p.m. Students callers generally work Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Sunday.

Job responsibilities include updating alumni contact information, sharing news and events at UD, responding to UD-related questions and securing financial contributions. Training is provided.

Salary starts at $7 per hour with increases based on performance.

Student callers frequently hear great stories about UD, both past and present, while developing skills that will look good on a resume, especially for business and psychology majors.

As an added bonus, callers learn more than the average student about the University and can take advantage of opportunities they might otherwise have missed.
