Wind ensemble concert Sunday in CFA

5:28 p.m., Oct. 12, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents the UD Wind Ensemble at 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, in the Puglisi Orchestra Hall of UD's Center for the Arts. The concert is the first performance in the new orchestra hall.

The ensemble will perform the world premiere of Bruce Yurko's Proclamations! commissioned by the ensemble for the opening of the Center for the Arts.

Yurko has published compositions with C. Alan Music, Ludwig Music and Southern Music. His music has been performed by university wind ensembles at Florida State University, the University of North Texas and the Eastman School of Music.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center box office or the Bob Carpenter Center box office. For more information, call (302) 831-2577.
