Wal-Mart recruiting sessions set Oct. 17, 18 and 19

3:06 p.m., Oct. 16, 2006--UD students interested in learning about employment opportunities with Wal-Mart, one of the fastest-growing retail enterprises in the world, will have two chances to attend information sessions during Wal-Mart Week, which runs Oct. 16-20 on the University of Delaware's Newark campus.

Sponsored by UD's Bank of America Career Services Center, the recruiting event will bring Levey Williams, Wal-Mart recruiter, Doug Howe, senior vice president of apparel and product development, Steve Bennett, manager of network engineering information systems division, and Lashondra Jones, staff auditor, to campus to host two student information sessions and a variety of other recruiting and networking events.

The first student information session will be held from 5-6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, in 115 Purnell Hall, and will focus on a variety of employment opportunities available within the retail emporium. The second information session will be held from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, in 127 Memorial Hall, and will target students majoring in engineering, communication, fashion/apparel and leadership.

In addition to the information sessions, student interviews also will be conducted from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, with Jones and Williams.

For more information on the information sessions, interviews or related events, call (302) 831-2392 or visit [www.udel.edu/CSC].
