Juvenile diabetes fund-raisers Oct. 19, 22
1:20 p.m., Oct. 18, 2006--UD's Department of Medical Technology and College of Health Sciences are raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, at a kiosk in the Trabant University Center. Besides accepting dollar donations to JDRF, Luci McClure from Silpada Designs will be selling jewelry at the kiosk and donating all profits to JDRF.
Members of the department and college also will participate in the Walk to Cure Diabetes at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, at Rockford Park in Wilmington. Registration at the race is at 9 a.m. To walk with University community members, or to sponsor a member of the team, visit [www.jdrf.org].
