Lunchtime MyCourses lecture set Nov. 1

3:54 p.m., Oct. 25, 2006--The second Let US PRESENT noontime technology education lecture, “MyCourses Shortcuts: WebDAV and the Content Module; Web Syllabus Templates,” will be held from 12:20-1:10 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, in 010 Smith Hall.

The free talk offers a collaborative setting for faculty to learn new and easy ways to get more out of MyCourses (WebCT).

The third and final lecture of the fall semester, “Laptops Tips and Tricks for Macintosh and Windows Users,” is set for Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Sponsored by IT-User Services' PRESENT, the series focuses on new ways of using existing tools. Collegial sharing of ideas and experiences is encouraged. Feedback on the series also is encouraged to help shape topics to the needs and interests of participants.

Slated for the first Wednesday of each month, the lectures include light lunches of salads and beverages. Space is limited and registration is required for each session. To register, interested faculty members should go to [www.udel.edu/present/news/topics/letuspresent.html] and follow the online menu prompts.

PRESENT (Practical Resources for Educators Seeking Effective New Technologies) provides expertise and facilities to enable faculty and staff who teach at UD to enhance student learning through the use of technology. For more information, visit [www.udel.edu/present] or call (302) 831-0640.
