Employee Fitness Center open house Oct. 10

3:19 p.m., Oct. 3, 2006--UD employees are invited to drop in and visit the Employee Fitness Center in 127 Carpenter Sports Building for an open house 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct.10.

Guests may tour the facility and learn about Employee Fitness Center programs and services. Free bottled water will be available to all who stop by.

The event is free, but preregistration is required. To register, visit [www.udel.edu/wellness].

The open house is co-sponsored by the Employee Wellness Center and Recreation Services.

Run by Recreation Services, the fitness center is open from 5 a.m.-9 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays and noon-4 p.m., Sundays.

Use of the equipment is available free of charge to University employees, retirees and their spouses. Those using equipment first must schedule a brief orientation to the facility.

Employees may use their Wellness Dollars to meet with Employee Wellness Center staff, who are available to work individually with employees and retirees to design individual exercise programs and conduct fitness tests.
