UD field hockey team drops two in CAA play

9:36 a.m., Oct. 23, 2006--The University of Delaware field hockey team lost two weekend Colonial Athletic Association matches on the road, falling 2-0 at Towson University on Friday and 3-0 at No. 16 ranked James Madison University on Sunday.

The Fightin' Blue Hens are now 6-10 overall and 3-4 in the CAA with two games remaining. UD will play at Drexel University in the final conference game of the season at 4 p.m., Friday, and will close the regular season against LaSalle University at 1 p.m., Sunday, at Rullo Stadium.

UD junior goalkeeper Nikki Rhoades had nine saves in the loss to Towson and five in the loss to James Madison.
