'Crisis of American Democracy' talk Oct. 24

2:40 p.m., Oct. 20, 2006--David North, Marxist author and chairperson of the editorial board of the World Socialist web site, will lecture on “The Economic and Political Roots of the Crisis of American Democracy,” at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, in 116 Gore Hall. The lecture and discussion are sponsored by the UD Philosophy Club.

North will examine the relationship between war, social inequality in the United States and the move towards “police-state methods of rule.”
