Credit Union gets five-star rating

4:46 p.m., Oct. 12, 2006--For the fifth year in a row, the U-Del Federal Credit Union has received a five-star rating from BauerFinancial Inc., the leading independent credit union rating firm. Credit unions are classified on a zero- to five-star scale, which considers the institution's capital, historical trends, loan delinquencies, reserves, charge-offs, regulatory compliance and asset quality.

Credit unions receiving four- or five-star ratings are safe, financially sound and operating well above their regulatory capital requirements.

"Receiving a Superior rating is indicative of the high quality of service our staff provides in supporting our members' financial goals," Gary Stokes, president of the U-Del Federal Credit Union, said.
