Alumni concerts set Oct. 23, 24 and 26
2:51 p.m., Oct. 20, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents three concerts next week performed by University alumni in the Gore Recital Hall of the Center for the Arts.
The performances, all at 8 p.m., include:
- Monday, Oct. 23, countertenor Gus Mercante, AS '04, soprano Christine Kavanagh, AS'00, and faculty pianist Julie Nishimura will perform Jacques Offenbach's Belle Nuit from Tales of Hoffman, as well as Handel, Bach and Mozart duets;
- Tuesday, Oct. 24, flutist Rebecca Haas, '03/05M, Adrienne Harding, '99/01M, Rachel Thompson, AS'02, and Heather Hughes will perform Flautet; and
- Thursday, Oct. 26, flutist Joan Sparks, AS'74, and UD harpist Anne Sullivan will perform SPARX.
Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for alumni and senior citizens and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
