Comedy showcase Oct. 13 in Clayton Hall

Deon Cole

4:05 p.m., Oct. 5, 2006--To kick off Homecoming Weekend, UD's Cultural Programming Advisory Board is sponsoring its annual Homecoming Comedy Show at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, in Clayton Hall.

The show will feature popular TV comedians Deon Cole and Talent, as well as several other masters of humor, and the evening promises plenty of entertainment for every sort of funny bone.

Talent
Cole has been a regular performer on NBC's Stand Up for Diversity and wrote and acted in the hit comedy movie, Small World. He has performed stand-up shows at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and Rick's Café in Jamaica, as well as at several other well-known comedy venues throughout the United States.

Talent has honed his sense of humor and timing at comedy clubs across the country and has appeared on the popular shows HBO Snaps and Fox's Uptown Comedy Club and Showtime at the Apollo. He is best known for his ironic take on life's inconsistencies.

Tickets for the show are $8 in advance for UD students with valid ID and $12 in advance for all others and are available for purchase at UD box offices and Ticketmaster. Depending on availability, tickets also can be purchased at the door on the night of the show for $10 for UD students with valid ID and for $15 for all others.

Doors to the event will open at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call (302) 831-2991.
