Clarinet recital Friday evening

5:01 p.m., Oct. 12, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents a recital featuring clarinetist Marianne Gythfeldt and faculty pianist Julie Nishimura at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, in the Gore Recital Hall of UD's new Center for the Arts.

The duo will perform Joshua Fineberg's Facets, Max Reger's Sonata Op. 107 for Clarinet and Piano and premiere Lars Graugaard's Concealed Behaviours, written for Gythfeldt.

Gythfeldt, assistant professor of clarinet at UD, recently performed at the 2005 Mostly Mozart Festival at the Lincoln Center in New York and with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra on its European tour.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center box office or the Bob Carpenter Center box office. For more information, call (302) 831-2577.
