Still Breathing in concert Sunday afternoon

1:24 p.m., Oct. 26, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents Still Breathing, the University of Delaware's Contemporary Music Ensemble in concert at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, in the Gore Recital Hall of the Center for the Arts.

Various stages of composer respiratory activity will be explored, including works by grad student Adam Baumol and the youthful Graham Fitkin and Jennifer Higdon, as well as works by legendary modernist octogenarians Pierre Boulez and Milton Babbitt who none-the-less are “still breathing.” Lloyd Shorter and Brian Stone, both assistant professors of music, are conducting.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and alumni and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
