UD Bookstore offers special on arts-related books

4:15 p.m., Oct. 19, 2006--The University Bookstore is commemorating the grand opening of the University's new Center for the Arts with a sale of arts-related books. The books, on special display in the Bookstore, are being discounted 20 percent through Wednesday, Nov. 1.

“This discount means substantial savings, especially on books that were already discounted in the bargain section,” Chris Gasser, general merchandise manager who coordinated the sale, said. “The books are a diverse selection of titles ranging from performing arts to fine arts and even includes several graphic art titles, as well.”

The titles were selected from the Bookstore's existing inventory and several titles have been ordered which coincide with 10 of the plays that will be performed in the new center this year.

Samples include: Six Plays by Henrik Ibsen, Chinese Brush Painting Book and Gift Set, Masterpieces of Modern Architecture by M. Agnoletto, The Great Masters of Italian Art by Elena Capretti and The Rough Guide to Shakespeare, The Plays, The Poems, The Life by Andrew Dickerson.

“We look forward to our patrons taking advantage of this sale, taking advantage of our new Center for the Arts, as well as our everyday discount of 10 percent off trade books for faculty, students and staff,” Gassner said.
