UD women’s basketball falls to Boston College

3:15 p.m., Nov. 15, 2006--The University of Delaware women's basketball team jumped out to an early lead, scoring the game's first seven points, but ultimately fell 68-60 at Boston College on Tuesday night.

UD senior forward Chrissy Fisher scored a career-high 26 points, including four three-point baskets, and tied a career-high with 14 rebounds. Guard Tyresa Smith had 10 points and eight rebounds.

“I thought we played a very competitive basketball game tonight,” UD Head Coach Tina Martin said. “We hurt ourselves in transition and with missed assignments defensively. Offensively, we need a better overall effort with more balanced scoring.”

The Fightin' Blue Hens, now 1-1 on the season, will return to action at 7 p.m., Friday, when they face American University at the Bob Carpenter Center.
