DUSC raises $200 for UNICEF
2:17 p.m., Nov. 8, 2006--The Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress (DUSC) collected $200 for UNICEF during its Halloween drive, an event that was organized by sophomore Lauren Greenawald, who coordinates DUSC special projects.
UNICEF boxes were distributed on campus and at cooperating businesses on Main Street.
“By my calculations,” Greenawald said, “that translates into school supplies for 75 impoverished children, 46 large wool blankets, water for an entire village or 186 vaccinations for polio.”
