Talk on resistant strain of HIV Nov. 30
4:41 p.m., Nov. 20, 2006--Virologist Carlton Cooper, assistant professor of biological sciences at UD, will speak on “A New Threat from a Deadly Virus,” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, in 116 Gore Hall. His lecture will focus on a new strain of HIV that resists nearly all antiretroviral drugs and appears to lead to the rapid onset of AIDS.
The event, which is taking place the eve of World AIDS Day, is sponsored in part by the Office of Residence Life.
