Nov. 4 variety show highlights Indian culture

4:34 p.m., Nov. 2, 2006--East Indian culture, dance and music will take center stage from 5:30-9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, in Mitchell Hall in variety show produced and sponsored by UD's Indian Students Association.

The three-and-a-half-hour cultural extravaganza, titled Ek Raat, which means “one night,” will include dance performances by UD's Dark Arts Performing Dance Company and Delaware Repertory Dance Company troupes, music by UD's Golden Blues choral ensemble, and a fashion show that will showcase traditional Indian costumes and contemporary American attire.

Tickets purchased in advance are $7 for students with valid UD ID and $8 for all others. Tickets purchased at the door are $9 for students with valid UD ID and $10 for all others. For more information on the show and to purchase tickets in advance, call Ankur Doshi at (717) 903-5334.
