Pianist Peter Miyamoto performs Sunday at CFA

1:33 p.m., Nov. 10, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents piano guest artist Peter Miyamoto in concert at 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, in the Gore Recital Hall of the Center for the Arts. The program includes Mozart's Sonata in B-Flat Major, Schubert's Four Impromptus and Schumann's Carnaval.

Miyamoto, an assistant professor of music at the University of Missouri-Columbia, has enjoyed a brilliant international career, performing to great acclaim in recital and as a soloist in Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, the former Yugoslavia, China and Japan, as well as in Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and alumni and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.

Miyamoto also will present a master class, which is free and open to the public, at 1:25 p.m., Monday, Nov. 13, in Gore Recital Hall of the Center for the Arts.
