Men's basketball team falls to Albany, 87-67

UD junior forward Herb Courtney had 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Albany.

11:04 a.m., Nov. 20, 2006--The University of Delaware men's basketball team fell 87-67 to the State University of New York at Albany on Friday night at the SECFU Arena in Albany.

The Fightin' Blue Hens were led by junior forward Herb Courtney, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman point guard Brian Johnson scored 15 points and had five assists and did not commit a turnover in 39 minutes of action. Sophomore Zaire Taylor had 15 points and eight rebounds and freshman Darrell Johnson had eight points.

With the loss, UD fell to 0-2 on the season. The Hens will return to action with a game against Rider University at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Bob Carpenter Center. They will remain at home to face Cleveland State University at 1 p.m., Sunday.
