Delaware golfers eighth at Seascape tourney
8:54 a.m., Nov. 1, 2006--The University of Delaware golf team closed out the fall season by finishing eighth out of 18 teams at the Old Dominion University Seascape Collegiate Tournament held Monday and Tuesday at the Seascape Golf Course in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Campbell University won the invitational tournament with a team score of 556 and East Carolina University finished second at 560. Winthrop University finished third at 567, followed by Old Dominion at 569, Radford University at 577, James Madison University at 579 and Francis Marion University at 584. The Fightin' Blue Hens shot 585 for eighth place. UD was led by senior Josh Williamowsky, who finished tied for 17th after shooting a three over par 143. Senior Joe McLister tied for 23rd place at 144, freshman Jason Bernstein tied for 44th place at 148, freshman Dan Rexon tied for 54th place at 150 and junior Britt Murdoch tied for 88th at 165. |
