Internet Explorer 7 arriving for Windows XP

2:13 p.m., Nov. 3, 2006--Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) is being sent to Windows XP computers through Automatic Updates. The new version of IE is more secure than IE 6 and is easy to use. IE 7 has a streamlined look that allows more space for web page content.

To install IE 7, when you see the Automatic Updates notification icon in your task bar, click to view a summary of key features then click the option to install the update. The installation preserves your current toolbars (except for the menu and links bars), your favorites, home page and search settings.

For tips on installing and configuring IE 7, see [www.udel.edu/topics/ie7/]. For questions about IE 7 or any other computing issue, consult the IT Help Center web page at [www.udel.edu/help/].
