Wind ensemble concert Thursday in CFA
3:48 p.m., Nov. 29, 2006--UD's Department of Music presents the UD Wind Ensemble in concert at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, in Puglisi Orchestra Hall in the Center for the Arts.
The ensemble will perform John Mackey's Redline Tango, which won the 2005 Ostwald Award for best wind band composition, and David Dzubay's Ra!, which won the 2003 National Band Association William Revelli Memorial Composition Contest. The UD Wind Ensemble is directed by Robert Streckfuss, professor of music.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
