Portion of New London Road closed until 3 p.m.
11:02 a.m., Nov. 2, 2006--The section of New London Road (Route 896) between Main Street and Cleveland Avenue in Newark will be closed to traffic until 3 p.m. today while the city replaces a water line in that area.
Motorists traveling north are advised to detour around the work area by following North College Avenue and Cleveland Avenue or West Main Street and Hillside Road before returning to New London Road.
