Chris Cauley in concert at The Scrounge Dec. 2

2:26 p.m., Nov. 27, 2006--Chris Cauley, a singer-songwriter who was recently voted the No. 1 college touring artist of 2006, will perform an 8:30 p.m. concert on Saturday, Dec. 2, at The Scrounge in Perkins Student Center.

Cauley, who opened for the Matt Nathanson concert at UD last spring, will mark his third visit to campus with this concert. His vocals and saxophone riffs brought him to the attention of the Georgia-based record company Red Drum Records, which recently produced his debut CD, Fish Out of Water, and his Motown-influenced sound has quickly won him a loyal and widespread fanbase.

Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Reed Kendall, who released his debut album Shoot Me Straight in 2004, will open for Cauley.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by UD's Student Centers Programming Advisory Board. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis, so an early arrival is recommended. For more information, call (302) 831-8192 or visit [www.SCPAB.com].
