Discounts on Adobe software products

3:02 p.m., Nov. 10, 2006--The University recently signed an addendum to its Contractual Licensing Program with Adobe Systems Inc. that allows UD students and employees to purchase specific Adobe products for personal use at discount prices.

Students

Students can purchase software through the University Bookstore's online software store [www.JourneyEd.com/Select/] at a cost substantially lower than the retail price and have it shipped directly to them.

Pricing for software available to students:

• Adobe Studio 8, $189.98 (vs. $995 commercial or $299.98 academic pricing);
• Adobe Creative Suite Premium, $199.98 (vs. $1,295 commercial or $399.98 academic pricing); and
• Adobe Acrobat Professional, $59.98 (vs. $449 commercial or $159.98 academic pricing).

Employees

The University's Contractual Licensing Program with Adobe grants “work at home” rights to faculty and staff for their work copies of software. Adobe does not allow a copy of software to be used on more that one machine unless one desktop is the user's office computer and the other is the user's home computer, on which secondary use is permitted.
