Student tour guides needed for Discovery Days

4:27 p.m., May 10, 2007--Wanted: Students to share their school spirit and knowledge about UD as tour guides during Discovery Days, being held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., July 7, 14, 20 and 21.

Approximately 2,500 prospective students and their families are expected to visit the campus each Discovery Day to learn about UD, and students play an important role in the day's activities, according to Faye Duffy, senior associate director in the Admissions Office.

“This is an opportunity for students to serve UD as guides and to interact with visitors,” Duffy said.

About 80 student guides are needed. Training will be provided at different times before July 7, and students will receive a stipend of $60 for each day, with extra incentives for those who work all four days.
