8:13 a.m., May 4, 2007--The University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving teams have added 15 high school standouts for the fall season, Fightin' Blue Hens Head Coach John Hayman announced this week.

Laurel, N.J., Chung Shin of Hockessin and Michael Wodoslawsky of Damascus, Md.

Joining the UD women's team will be Meghan Barber of Collegeville, Pa., Stephanie DeCrescente of Chester Springs, Pa., Kiley Friedrich of Phoenix, Md., Lauren Gunther of Timonium, Md., Donna Healy of Crofton, Md., and Kelly Kane of Osprey, Fla.

In January, Hayman announced the signings of women's swimmers Cortney Barry of Laurel, Md., and Erinne Butler of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and men's swimmers Matt Wehrman of Macungie, Pa., Craig Young of Newark and Bobby MacLeish of Dover.

“This upcoming season could be a banner year for the men's program,” Hayman said. “This year's incoming freshman class of swimmers is not only one of the largest, but is certainly the most talented since I have been at Delaware. We have virtually covered all of our openings and weak spots. Each of these freshmen has the potential of scoring big for us in the conference.

“Although the women's incoming freshman class is not as large as the men's, we do have some great talent joining our team next year. We graduate five seniors and this freshman class should make up for the loss of some great swimmers.”
