Faculty encouraged to list fall books now

9:22 a.m., May 15, 2007--UD's Student Government Association (SGA) has partnered with the University Bookstore to encourage faculty to turn in their booklists for the fall semester as soon as possible, according to Rose Overbey, SGA president.

A letter is being sent to deans and the provost that can be circulated to faculty, pointing out that the “increasing costs of textbooks add to student financial burdens,” adding, “In order to keep costs down, we need your help.”

The letter points out that sending in booklists allows the bookstore to “retain used books that students turn in this semester and sell them at a used rate in the fall. This saves money for all students....”

Booklists are shared by all the bookstores in Newark, Overbey said.
