Library to host variety of summer workshops

9:49 a.m., June 5, 2007--The University of Delaware Library is offering a series of summer workshops designed to help faculty and students discover better ways to fund and organize their current research, find information to support research funding and conduct genealogy research.

Featured workshops include:

Getting the most out of the Web of Science, a library database that allows a scholar to see how many times his or her work has been cited. This workshop will be offered from 10-11 a.m. on both Tuesday, June 12, and Tuesday, July 10.

Finding Your Family, a workshop devoted to resources available for those interested in researching their family history. This workshop will be offered from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19.

Research Funding Online, a two-part workshop on library databases that provide information to assist the securing grants and research funding. The first part of this workshop will be offered at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, and the second part of this workshop will be offered at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 20.

RefWorks, a database that organizes references and creates instant bibliographies. This workshop will be offered from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27; from 3-4 p.m., Wednesday, July 11; and from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15.

All workshops will take place in room 116A of the Morris Library and are free for all UD students and employees. Seating is limited, however, so registration is required.
