Delaware’s Vocal Point sings National Anthem at Orioles game
2:53 p.m., June 29, 2007--Members of Vocal Point, a UD coed a cappella group, sang the National Anthem at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday, June 9, prior to the Baltimore Orioles game against the Colorado Rockies.

Vocal Point was chosen for the honor by Orioles staff, who screen audition tapes of groups performing “The Star Spangled Banner.” Of course, Camden Yards is near Fort McHenry, where the banner that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the anthem flew during the War of 1812.

For baseball fans, the final score of the game was 3-2 in favor of the Rockies.
