Delaware soccer team helps with June 27 run
UD Head Coach Ian Hennessy and members of the men’s soccer team will help organize the Prevent Child Abuse Delaware 5K walk and run to be held June 27.
8:45 a.m., June 14, 2007--University of Delaware Head Coach Ian Hennessy and members of the Fightin' Blue Hens men's soccer team will take part in a fundraiser to assist the Prevent Child Abuse Delaware organization.

Members of the team will help organize the Prevent Child Abuse 5K Walk and Run to be held on Wednesday, June 27, at Rockford Park in Wilmington.

“This is a great cause and our team is very proud to be able to help in such a worthwhile venture,” Hennessy, who will begin his second season at the helm of the Fightin' Blue Hens this fall, said.

The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. Registration can be completed on site beginning at 5:30 p.m. the day of the race or by logging on to a regional running calendar at races2run.com and clicking on the schedule for June. The fee is $16 for those who register prior to June 27 and $20 the day of the race.

Prevent Child Abuse Delaware is an organization that serves children by tirelessly working to inspire others to engage in social change efforts that assure that all children have the opportunity to grow up free from abuse and neglect.
