Police seek suspects in attempted robbery

10:47 a.m., June 25, 2007--Newark Police are seeking two suspects in an attempted robbery that occurred at 11:17 p.m., Saturday, June 23, in the Newark Shopping Center.

Police said an 18-year-old man reported that he was approached by two unknown men who grabbed his arms and pushed him against a wall. He struggled and both men pulled out handguns and used them to pistol whip the victim about the face, causing injuries.

The victim was transported to the Christiana Hospital emergency room by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Co. ambulance. He was treated for injuries to his face and head.

The suspects were described as wearing blue jean shorts and black T-shirts.
