Library offers workshops to make research easier

3:28 p.m., June 13, 2007--For faculty, staff and students looking for a better way to organize their research--whether meeting research paper and thesis deadlines, finishing an article or starting research on a summer project--managing references is key.

RefWorks is a web-based program provided by the library that offers access to one's own references from any computer at any time, making the process of organizing information and citations properly much easier.

This summer the University of Delaware Library will host three workshops on RefWorks covering setting up a free online account, exporting citations from research databases and importing the citations into a user's personal RefWorks folder.

Workshops will also cover the RefWork's 'Write-N-Cite' feature, which makes it easy to insert notes and citations into documents.

Workshops will be held in the Morris Library Instruction Room 116A from:

  • 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27;
  • 3-4 p.m., Wednesday, July 11; and
  • 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15.

There is no charge but seating is limited and advance registration is required. To register for a RefWorks workshop, visit: [http://www2.lib.udel.edu/usered/classes/current.htm]
