Delaware football tickets are now available

11:05 a.m., June 29, 2007--Season ticket packages and single game tickets for both home and away contests for the 2007 University of Delaware football season are now on sale.

Season ticket packages can be purchased in person at the UD Season Ticket and Group Sales Office, located at the Delaware Field House, telephone (302) 831-2257. Or, fans can go online at [www.udel.edu/sportsinfo/tickets].

Among the season ticket packages available are east and west stands seating for $114, east and west stands seating for recent alumni (1998-2007) and UD faculty and staff members for $101, and special family four packs in the north end zone for $160.

The family four packs include tickets for two adults and two children (age 17 and younger) and are the most affordable way for families with children to watch Fightin' Blue Hens football.

Single game tickets for all six UD home games at Tubby Raymond Field at Delaware Stadium, beginning with the home opener Sept. 8 against West Chester University, can be purchased by UD season ticket holders in person at the Delaware Field House.

The general public can purchase tickets online now at [www.ticketmaster.com] or by calling (302) 984-2000. Single game tickets are $21 for east and west grandstand seating. The general public can purchase single game tickets in person at the Bob Carpenter Center Box Office beginning Aug. 1 (open weekdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.) and at the Trabant University Center Ticket Office beginning Aug. 27 (open weekdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.). Both box offices are closed during the month of July.

Season ticket holders can purchase individual game tickets for both home and away games at the season ticket office in the Delaware Field House. Tickets to the game against the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis on Oct. 27 are available to season tickets holders now until Aug. 1.

UD will open the season at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 30, at the College of William and Mary, followed by home games against West Chester at 7 p.m., Sept. 8, and the University of Rhode Island at 3:30 p.m., Sept. 15.

The Hens will travel to Towson University for a game at 7 p.m., Sept. 22, will play at home against Monmouth University at 7 p.m., Sept. 29, and will visit the University of New Hampshire at noon, Oct. 6.

The Homecoming game will be at noon, Oct. 13, against Northeastern University. UD will travel to Navy for a game at 1 p.m., Oct. 27, return home to face James Madison University at noon, Nov. 3, and the University of Richmond at 1 p.m., Nov. 10, and close the regular season at Villanova University at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 17.

UD is the only school in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision that has averaged 20,000 or more fans per home game during the regular season each of the last eight seasons. The Hens had an average home attendance of 21,825 last season. In addition, UD set a record with more than 11,100 season ticket packages sold.

This will be UD's first season as a member of the new Colonial Athletic Association football conference.
