UD’s Kaili Kao has earned CoSIDA All-Academic honors.
8:12 a.m., June 1, 2007--University of Delaware senior field hockey standout Kaili Kao has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 2 second team.

Kao, a member of the Class of 2007 from State College, Pa., was one of 20 scholar-athletes selected based on her academic and athletic excellence during the season. A four-year letter winner and captain in 2006, Kao earned a cumulative 3.817 grade point average as an international relations and East Asian studies major with minors in business, business administration and French.

Kao is a four-time member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad, a four-time member of the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and a two-time Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar Award recipient. She earned UD's Eastern College Athletic Conference Medal of Merit Award earlier this month as the senior female letter winner with the highest grade point average.
