Virden Center to host Chautauqua June 17-20
4:32 p.m., June 6, 2007--The ninth annual Chautauqua Tent Show, presented by the Delaware Humanities Forum, is set to take place Sunday-Wednesday, June 17-20 at UD's Virden Center in Lewes.

Modeled after the original Chautauqua tent shows from the early 20th century, this year's event will feature an American Heroes and Icons theme and will include appearances by Jackie Robinson, Amelia Earhart, Eleanor Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln impersonators every night at 7 p.m.

Noon shows will feature regional authors and storytellers, Ed Okonowicz, Clara Small and Dan Pritchett, and an all-day baseball game, in which visitors are invited to participate, is set to take place on the Virden Center field on Sunday, June 17.
