Newark Police charge man in ’repo’ incident

1:47 p.m., July 21, 2006--Newark Police have charged a man with aggravated menacing and terroristic threatening after he allegedly pulled a handgun on an employee of an automobile recovery company who was attempting to repossess a vehicle at 11:46 p.m., Thursday, July 20, in the 700 block of Susquehanna Circle.

Police said they arrested Louis Joseph Schinchirimini, 44, who faces additional charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and driving while his license was suspended or revoked.

Police said the employee of the automobile recovery company was attempting to repossess a vehicle when Schinchirimini allegedly pointed a small black handgun at the employee and made several threats to the man and his family. He then allegedly operated the employee's tow truck without permission.
